Well, I am busy putting the final touches on my plans to head over to Mozambique for a two year stay. I will be flying out of Seattle on the 27th of September. I will leave at 8:30 and arrive in Philadelphia at 4:30 in the evening. I will spend a few days there, getting an introduction to the Peace Corps, getting my shots and getting to know the other volunteers.
On the 30th of September I will get back on a plane to Johannesburg, South Africa. I will stay one night there and then be back on a plane in the morning to Maputo, Mozambique's capital city.
I will have a three month stay with a family in the capital. During that three months, I will undergo training, get used to the language and the culture. I will then be sworn in and my two years of service will officially begin.
It will go by quickly, even though it seams so far away.
Peace!
David

Hi David! So excited for you! I'm teaching English in South Korea for at least the next year and would love to keep in touch. I don't know how connected you'll be, but I'll be checking your blog.
I'm at karissabryant.blogspot.com and my email is bryantka55@hotmail.com.
I understand about learning a new language. Korean is very difficult and I'm starting from absolute square one. But people are incredibly helpful and encouraging.
Have an amazing time in Africa!
